Led Ontraport's first AI initiative: an in-app chat assistant with read-only agents over customer CRM data, a rebuilt LLM gateway, a feedback loop, and an evaluation framework that makes response quality measurable.

Approach Designed how account data and context reach the agents, weighing quality, latency, cost, and safety. The AI prototyping and spec workflows I introduced are now used across the product team.

Contact management
Rethinking how customers organize, segment, and understand their contacts: records, segments, and reporting as data products teams build on, made legible and humane.
Approach Treated density as the enemy of understanding: progressive disclosure, calm defaults, power on demand.

Invoices and Payments v2
Separated invoices from payments, added refund invoices and change orders, and shipped multi-currency support via Stripe with conversion handling, refunds in the original currency, and updated reporting.
Approach Started from the buyer's moment of doubt and worked backward. Every field earns its place; trust cues over decoration.

Inbox and chat
Launched Inbox, a unified email channel with CC support and message logs, plus Ontraport's web chat and chatbot with AI responses, automation, and targeting: customer conversations across channels in one place.
Approach Prototyped with real support volume to find the rhythm of triage, then designed for speed without anxiety.

Rebuilt the product operating system and revamped the design system and education program: quieter surfaces, clearer hierarchy, and one consistent system across every product area.

A few principles that hold across everything above.
Start with the problem, not the screen
I dig into the real job a person is trying to do before I draw anything. The clearest interfaces come from understanding the decision behind them, not decorating a feature.
Reduce until it's calm
Every element has to earn its place. I edit relentlessly toward clarity. Fewer choices, quieter surfaces, honest hierarchy, so the product feels effortless rather than busy.
Build to learn
I still prototype and build. Putting something real in front of people early beats arguing in the abstract. The prototype is the fastest way to find the truth.
Lead through clarity
As a director my job is to make the path obvious: shared language, visible priorities, and a system the whole team can move within without waiting on me.

I'm Foued Sassi, Product Director at Ontraport. For 11+ years I've led product management, UX/UI design, and education for a 60-person SaaS company, with a small team across PM, design, and education.
I own product strategy and roadmap across AI, payments, CRM, mobile, and onboarding, sequencing concurrent initiatives against company goals. Most recently I led Ontraport's first AI initiative end to end, from the LLM gateway and agent design to the evaluation framework that keeps quality honest. I care about software that feels calm: clear hierarchy, honest interfaces, and decisions you can trust without thinking too hard.
